Natal Day Weekend

We spent Saturday and Sunday with Ray’s family in Parker’s Cove. It was Natal Day Weekend, so of course, the big town of Annapolis Royal was just hopping with things to do. We
did the Market first thing Sat. morning. If you’ve never been to the Market in Annapolis, I suggest you go sometime. It is way cool! Lots of homemade handicrafts, fresh produce, great food (the potato pancakes are amazing!), often some sort of musical entertainment, all outside.
Then we took the kids to the park.
That’s Ray’s brother’s girlfriend, Martine, pushing the kids on the swing. And from there,
we spent some of the afternoon at the Fort grounds–the kids love rolling down the hills! And since, it was Natal Day , there was lots of people dressed in period costume–I love seeing that!
Need I say we had three very exhausted kids by the end of the day!

Here they are on one of the cannons at the fort.

Nice to get away for a few days, but it’s always nice to come back home. And the kids have stayed up to Nannies and Grampies for a few days. YAY!! Posted by Picasa

Good to have you back! It was not a holiday weekend here, so I didn’t realize that was where everyone was. I have forgotten some of my “extra” Canadian holidays! We miss those Civic Holidays that Scott would have off. Your kids are really getting big – I can’t believe it’s been over 1 year since we’ve been to NS. Time flies. Talk soon!
